Justice Dougas Alencar

Mauricio José Godinho Delgado was born in Lima Duarte, Minas Gerais. He is graduated in Law from the Universidade Federal de Juiz de Fora-MG, in 1975.
He was a lawyer until November 1989, when he became a Labour Judge.

A Labour Judge for over 32 years, he joined the Labour Judicial Branch in Minas Gerais, as a Substitute District Labour Judge in Governador Valadares, Varginha, Itabira, Contagem and Belo Horizonte. In 2004, he was promoted to Regional Labour Court Judge of the 3rd Regional Labour Court. In 2007, he joined the Superior Labour Court (TST), in Brasília, as a Justice, where he has been working for over 14 years.

Since March 2012, he has been a member of the 3rd Chamber at TST. Between 2007 and 2012, he was a member of the 6th Chamber of the Superior Court. He was a member of the Special Body between 2017 and 2019, also being a member of the Superior Council of Labour Justice, between 2017 and 2019. He is also a member of the Specialized Section on Collective Bargaining and the Full Court. He currently is the President of the TST Documentation and Memory Commission, which deals with documentation, memory, library, magazine and other related aspects of the Superior Labour Court. He is the Coordinator of the Management Committee of the National Program for the Rescue of the Memory of Labour Justice.

He became a Master in Political Science from UFMG (1980) and obtained a Doctor degree in Law from UFMG (1994).

He is a Professor at UDF, in Brasília. He has been a Professor for over 43 years. Initially at UFMG (1978-2000), as Professor at the Philosophy and Human Sciences College, in the Department of Political Science, and then at the Law College of the same University, as an Assistant Professor, in the thematic area of ​​Labour Law (undergraduate, masters and doctorate). He was an Assistant Professor at PUC Minas, in Belo Horizonte, between 2000 and 2012, in the thematic area of ​​Labour Law (undergraduate, masters and doctorate). In Brasília, he was Professor of the Specialization Course in Law at IESB (2008-2013). Since February 2014, he has been a Professor at the Centro Universitário do Distrito Federal - UDF -, including his Master's in Social and Labour Relations Law, of which he was Academic Coordinator, between 2016 and 2018, and is currently the Dean Professor.

He has more than 30 published books, including individual, dual and collective. He also has more than 110 articles published in national and international journals and collective works. He has experience in the areas of Law and Political Science, with an emphasis on Constitutional Law, Constitutional Labour Law, Individual Labour Law, Collective Labour Law, Procedural Labour Law, Social Human Rights and Political Science.
